Ground Floor roof slab concreting

Ground Floor flat roof slab was concreted on 28/8.

Even though I went on 27/8,checked all reinforcement and found that the reinforcement work were done correctly as per the details given by me earlier,I returned on the same day after giving instructions to workers on laying of concrete.

These pictures of concrete laying were sent to me by Meenatchi and it seems unlike in our place they have conducted religious pooja before laying of the concrete.

Concrete laying started at 9.30 in the morning and got completed by 9 in the evening. That was pretty fine considering that they used about 175 bags of cement for the concreting

Foundation work completed

Foundation beam is concreted. Brick work for a height of 25 cm is added above foundation beam. Quality of brick is not as good as semi wire cut bricks we use in Kerala sites. On top of this basement brick work, Damp proof concrete with reinforcement is done to prevent water seeping into the floor of the house through brick wall of Basement. After this, foundation basement is filled with red sand freely available at site itself. During my recent visit to the site, directions were given to our team of workers for beginning of brick wall work.
On the way to Jackanarai I could see several rosewood trees with very big size, may be as old as 200 years or more standing undisturbed by the side of main road to Ootty. As rosewood(Eetty) is a tree which takes nearly 120 years to become at least 50-60 inches in diameter at bottom, seeing such rosewood trees with diameter as high as 150-200 inches is actually a sight which I may not be able to see anywhere in Kerala. So I have taken pictures of the rosewood tree which is given here along with other site pictures
